The 11.2.0 Release Notes contains information on the new Vehicle system and, below that, information on general improvements and fixed issues in this release. Additionally, some information on the upcoming expansion of the Vehicle system is included last.
VEHICLES
They are fast and they are awesome - vehicles are now available in Entropia Universe!
Take your friends on a road trip, cruising through the varied landscapes of the different planetary systems. Take a joyride along the coast or through the inland, quickly reaching remote locations. Drive through PvP zones, sneak up on opponents in a pimped military car, and crush all resistance.
With this new Vehicle system, the whole community now has the opportunity to build vehicles. Some basic functions and features in this system are described here, but there are several others that you can find when you start exploring the system.
For information on upcoming expansion of this system, see the section Coming Updates of the Vehicle System last in these release notes.
Commissioning a Vehicle
All vehicles have to be commissioned before they can be spawned.
The commissioning feature is planned to be developed further in the future, including designing vehicles by attaching various parts.
How to:
Commission a vehicle by using a Vehicle Commissioning Terminal. Such terminals can be found in selected cities, villages and outposts.
Customize Vehicle
The vehicle can be colored and texturized using the current coloring and texturizing system.
Spawn Vehicle
When the vehicle is commissioned it is possible to use the vehicle in the terrain (spawn it).
How to:
Spawn the vehicle for driving by right clicking the vehicle in your Inventory and selecting Spawn vehicle. Then place it on the terrain.
Pick Up Vehicle
Only the participant that has spawned the vehicle can pick it up. That way it will be returned to your Inventory. If you leave the vehicle out of sight for more than 10 minutes it will automatically be moved to the Storage Facility.
How to:
Use the Pick up action to return a specific vehicle you have spawned to your Inventory.
Use the Recall All Vehicles action, to return all vehicles you have spawned to a Storage Facility.
A vehicle in storage can be fetched from a Storage Facility through a Storage Terminal.
Grant Access to Vehicle
The participant that has spawned the vehicle, or has the right to spawn it, can grant friends different levels of access rights through the Vehicle Guests UI.
How to:
Edit access rights by right clicking the vehicle and selecting Open Vehicle Guests UI, which opens the Vehicle Guests UI.
Add a guest by dragging and dropping desired friends from your Friend List to the Vehicle Guests UI. It is also possible to drag and drop directly from an avatar's status bar (the green avatar symbol) to the Vehicle Guests UI.
Enter Vehicle
How to:
Enter the vehicle by right clicking the vehicle and selecting Operate.
Switch between seats in the vehicle by using the action Next vehicle seat.
Drive Vehicle
Vehicle steering is controlled with the regular movement keys.
To drive a vehicle, you need to fill the tank with oil, which is used as fuel.
The vehicle does not deteriorate from driving or collisions.
The vehicle will be submerged if driving it into deep waters. To be able to use it again, pick it up and place it on safe ground.
If trying to drive indoors the vehicle will automatically be picked up.
How to:
Add fuel by dragging and dropping oil from your Inventory to the spawned vehicle.
Damage to and from Vehicle
The vehicle will deteriorate when taking damage from attacking creatures, avatars attacking with weapons and Mindforce, and other vehicles attacking with mounted weapons.
As a subset to deterioration the vehicle is affected by its Structural Integrity (SI). The SI for a vehicle will be reduced by the same type of attacks as when deterioration occur.
When the SI has reached critical limit, passengers are automatically removed from the vehicle, which cannot be used until the SI has been increased again.
The vehicle absorbs hit points inflicted on avatars from creatures or from area damage. However, with a regular direct hit weapon, the avatar takes the damage if targeted directly, while the vehicle absorbs the damage if it was targeted.
How to:
Increase the SI of the vehicle by stepping out of the vehicle and using the Structural Integrity Toolkit on the vehicle.
Shooting from Vehicle
While positioned in the vehicle gun turret, a gunner can mount a mountable weapon. Shooting with mounted weapons can cause damage to other vehicles and avatars in PvP zones.
Note: Mounted weapons cannot harm creatures.
Passengers in a vehicle can cause aggression from creatures.
How to:
While in gun turret, mount a weapon by equipping it.
Vehicle Inventory
Each vehicle has a Vehicle Inventory, where items can be stored.
Note: The stored items' weights affect the vehicle speed.
IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXED ISSUES
This section presents the improvements and fixed issues in the already existing systems.
Compensations
- Compensation for reinserting Mindforce implant from before 10.0 is handed out. If you are affected you will receive a message when logging in.
- Compensation for inactive hangars will be handed out. If you are affected you will receive a message when logging in.
Movement Changes
- Removed indoor speed limit restrictions.
Attachment Parameter Changes
- Skill Bonus on Attachments . The skill modification effect now have a clarifying tool tip. The attachment gives a bonus to the user's hit ability and it has full effect when the target is on maximum weapon range. When the target comes closer the effect decreases and it reaches its minimum effect when the target is in the immediate vicinity. Since the effect is variable the hit ability parameter display is not affected by the skill modification.
- New Parameter on Attachments . A new parameter has been introduced on laser sights and scopes. This new parameter gives the user a skill increase bonus when the attachment is attached to the tool. The skill increase bonus of the attachment will affect the skill that the tool affect. The number does not indicate an actual increase rate percentage but a higher number is better than a lower.

COMING UPDATES OF THE VEHICLE SYSTEM
The features included in today's release are just the beginning of the Vehicle system content. The development teams are already working with upcoming features:
- Boats. It will soon be possible to cruise the lakes and oceans on the planets of Entropia Universe. Several different types of boats will be available.
- Aircrafts. Rule the sky with a helicopter or aircraft. Enjoy fast traveling with your friends between different locations.
- Motor cycles, hovercrafts, tanks, sports cars and other vehicles you can drive on land.
The vehicle system is also the gateway to space, enabling for avatars to cruise around in space and visit various places and planets in space.
The commissioning step is a preparation for vehicles that will be possible to modify more than today´s models. This means that the users can modify cars for a more unique look with special and perhaps rare vehicle parts. This will also affect the vehicle statistics.
New rules will be added to the existing Event system, where vehicles will have a more prominent role. In those events the cost for using the vehicles and vehicle weapons will be adjusted for a much cheaper usage.
KNOWN ISSUES
- The in-game description of the Structural Integrity Toolkit is faulty. It says that the user is repairing the vehicle by using the tool. The correct description is that the user is increasing the vehicle's Structural Integrity.

03 Jun 2010
The 11.1.0 Release Notes contains information on the reimplemented Mindforce system and, below that, information on general improvements and fixed issues in this release.
MINDFORCE
This release should be seen as stage 1 in implementing the Mindforce system. This first step is the reimplementation which currently includes basic functions, some are same as before and some are changed and improved. With this as a base we plan on adding further aspects and functions to the Mindforce system at a later stage.
We introduce the new concept aspect: an aspect is an ability that you can use with the correct chip implanted.
The intention when implementing changes to the old Mindforce system is to make the new Mindforce aspects more compatible with current weapons when it comes to usability and economics. To do this the concentration period has been rebalanced and two additional Mind Essences are introduced. One of these Mind Essences has no market value and can be bought from the Trade Terminal.
A new parameter - Cooldown - is introduced to be able to balance various advanced Mindforce aspects better. Cooldown is explained more in detail in the section Cooldown below.
Professions, skills, chips and implants have been converted to new ones, specified further down in these notes.
Note: All converted items have kept their TT values.
Mindforce Profession Changes
The existing professions related to Mindforce have been converted and new ones have been introduced to better suit the diversity and new progression possibilities within the Mindforce segment. The composition of the existing professions has been changed and now Mindforce skills contribute more to the profession level. Due to these changes the profession level has been changed and therefore, the profession level requirement for different aspects has been rebalanced to maintain similar performance as before. Names have also been changed for both skills and professions. For the name changes, see the Mindforce Profession Conversion list below.
Mindforce Chip Conversion
The old Mindforce chips have been converted according to the list below. Note that all TT values have been kept.
Changes have been made to deterioration to suite the introduction of the new types of Mind Essence and their values (see section below).
The new way of using the concentration period and the introduction of Cooldown means that some adjustments have been made, however, no changes have been made to any damage parameters. For many simpler Mindforce chips this means reduction or total removal of the concentration period.
Mind Essence
Additional Mind Essence types have been introduced to match the increased variation of Mindforce aspects. Current mind essence types:
- Synthetic Mind Essence, a new type of essence, that can be bought in the Trade Terminal.
- Light Mind Essence, a new type of essence, refined from the new loot item Diluted Sweat and the energy matter Force Nexus.
- Mind Essence, existing essence, refined from Vibrant Sweat (found when extracting sweat from creatures) and the energy matter Force Nexus.
In order to align the Mind Essence consumption with the system changes, the following changes have been made:
- The Mind Essence value has been divided by 100: where you got 100 Mind Essence per PED before, you now get 10,000.
- Mind Essence usage is multiplied by 100: if your Mind Essence was 7 before, it is 700 now
- Everyone’s amount of Mind Essence has been multiplied by 100: if you had 940 Mind Essences before, you now have 94,000.
Implants
Improved functions related to implant usage:
- Chip profession level. Implants now support chip profession level instead of chip levels.
- Simplified implant usage. Implant capability works in a new way and always starts from profession level zero and continues to the specific implant's maximum profession level. This makes the implants usage easier since you do not have to switch implants all the time.
- Profession level check at equip. When a Mindforce chip is equipped the chip profession level is checked against implant profession level. The equip is valid if the implant profession level is higher than the chip's minimum profession level.
- Insert implant. An implant is inserted with the Payn-Inc Implant Inserter by attaching the desired implant to the inserter and use the tool, just like when implanting a Skill implant. The Payn-Inc Implant Inserter can be found on the Mindforce tab in the Inventory.
- Remove implant. Remove an inserted implant by using a Payn-Inc Implant Inserter with no implant attached.
New Mindforce Features
New features are included in the reimplemented Mindforce system.
Cooldown
Cooldown time is introduced. During cooldown time for one Mindforce chip, no chip in the same Chip Cooldown Group can be used. During the cooldown period it is still possible to unequip the chip and use other tools or chips that are not included in the same cooldown group. Cooldown group and time can be found in Items Info for the specific Mindforce chip.
Effect Over Time
Effect over time is introduced:
- The Mindforce effect lasts for a given period of time. For your own avatar, this effect is displayed on your dashboard. On other avatars, you can see this effect displayed under the avatar status bar.
- The effect over time can have different strength in influence. It is possible to override an existing effect over time by applying the same type of effect with a higher strength.
- The counter for effect over time continues at log out and if any time is left at at next log in the effect is still valid.
- Effects over time are removed if an avatar dies.
Mindforce Aspects Adjustments and New Aspects
Some changes have been made in existing aspects and new ones are introduced.
Focus
The Focus system is rewritten:
- The Mindforce aspect Synchronization (former Focus) now protects against concentration disturbance over time instead of being a layered effect.
- Concentration period interruption is changed. If you are hit by other avatars or mobs, the already aggregated concentration time will now be reduced by a certain amount. This amount is diminished if the caster has an active synchronization effect.
Regeneration Field (Area Heal)
Regeneration Field chips will heal avatars within a certain radius. If the healer is in a team, only those team members will be healed, but if the healer is not in a team everybody within the specific radius will be healed. Healing chip: Regeneration Field Chip.
Damage Strike (Area Damage)
Damage Strike chips will damage creatures and avatars within a certain radius. If the avatar inflicting damage is in a team, those team members will not be harmed by that damage. Damage chips: Electric Strike Chip, Combustive Strike Chip and Cryogenic Strike Chip.

New Planet Discovered in Entropia Universe
Today we proudly present the new planet ROCKtropia! That means that currently two planetary systems are available to you, consisting of two planets, one asteroid and one space station; ROCKtropia, Planet Calypso, Club NEVERDIE and Crystal Palace.
Entropia Universe is growing and ROCKtropia is set to be the first of many new and different planets that will be forming Entropia Universe. "Diversity is as important in the virtual world as it is in the real world," said MindArk founder and CEO Jan Welter Timkrans. "We are thrilled to see the excitement generated by ROCKtropia and the other planets coming online soon."
For more information about this milestone in the history of Entropia Universe, see http://www.mindark.com/.
Space Travels
Space travel is possible both between and within planetary systems. For example, you can travel directly between Crystal Palace and ROCKtropia or, within a planetary system, between Crystal Palace and Planet Calypso.
To space travel, log in and find a teleporter and select desired destination.
Tip! When traveling through space make sure to pack the items you want to bring in your carried Inventory. Storage facilities are specific for the planet (space station, etc.) you are currently at, meaning that if you store items on one planet and travel to another one, you cannot access those items at your new destination.

Fragments are items with very low recycle (“TT”) value which are used in various activities, such as Tiering and Enhancer manufacturing. The addition of the Nova fragment will change existing areas that use fragments. This is done to improve economic balance. Each fragment type has its own rarity level. Blazar fragments are more rare than the more common Nova type. With this update, Blazar fragments are used in the Tier system and the Nova fragments are used in Enhancer manufacturing, thus replacing the Blazar fragment ingredient previously present.
